WVB Award Winner 2024 - Robin Klaene

PRSA Cincinnati Chapter is proud to announce our 2024 Werner-VonderHaar-Bogart Award recipient: Robin Klaene, APR. Congratulations, Robin! Often considered a lifetime achievement, the WVB Award is the highest honor offered by the Cincinnati Chapter of PRSA. It recognizes a public relations professional who has made significant contributions in four key areas: the community, chapter, profession and PRSA.

Robin Klaene, APR, is a creative and results-driven public relations professional with over 25 years of experience in strategic communications, project development, and community engagement. As the Director of Public Relations & Development for the Kenton County Public Library, Robin has been instrumental in shaping the library’s public image and expanding its services through innovative communication strategies.

Robin excels in bringing visionary projects to life, including leading the award-winning Library Book Benches project and the highly successful CVG Airport Library initiative. Her expertise spans media relations, event management, social media, crisis communication, and fundraising. Robin's leadership and ability to foster community partnerships have been key to enhancing the visibility and engagement of the library system. In addition to overseeing a team of four, Robin manages the Kenton County Public Library Foundation which raises funds for library programs and services. Throughout her career, Robin has consistently surpassed project goals and earned numerous accolades, including Blacksmith Awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and a Pinnacle Award from the American Marketing Association.

Robin holds a BA in Communications from Northern Kentucky University, an Associate degree in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati and is accredited in Public Relations by the Public Relations Society of America.
