Media Day
Thank you to the presenters, organizers and attendees who made this year's Media Day, presented by the Motion Agency, a wonderful success! With the theme of "PR Pivots, attendees heard from diverse panels of experts across the industry on topics including protecting brand reputation, embracing AI, empowering employees as ambassadors, and the importance of fostering relationships with local media and influencers.
We also continued our tradition of community service, benefitting Queen City Book Bank. As of yesterday's donations, Cincinnati PRSA has now donated more than 700 new and gently used books since 2023!
Be sure to check out the blog post, Pivoting with Purpose: The New Era of PR, written by Mike Gehrig, managing director of the Motion Agency, this year's Media Day sponsor.

Ethics Moment
The energy from the recent Cincinnati PRSA Media Day event, “PR Pivots,” is still buzzing in the mind of our Chapter Ethics Director, Holly Ingram's mind. Along with being inspired with new ideas to take back to her own work, she also was reminded of the PRSA Code of Ethics provision of conduct called Enhancing the Profession, of which she wrote about in a recent blog post. Read her blog here!
Reads and Resources
Pride Month is held annually in June to commemorate what have become known as the Stonewall Riots, which sparked the modern gay rights movement in June 1969. Members of the LGBTQ community gathered to protest a police raid at New York City’s Stonewall Inn.
Throughout the month, PRSA will offer a wide range of professional development and educational resources, all designed to recognize and celebrate the LGBTQ+ population within and beyond the communications profession, as well as promote the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, acceptance and advocacy. These resources, as you’ll see below, include webinars and other presentations, toolkits and editorial content. Additional offerings will also be announced and available throughout the month on PRSA.org.
Are you looking for a professional development opportunity this fall? PRSA's annual ICON conference provides PR, communications and marketing professionals with unmatched networking and professional development. This year's conference takes place in Washington, D.C. Oct. 28-30. Check out the recently announced full agenda!
